Canaries should pass  sexual  puberty and be ready and healthy for incubation in reproduction period.If canaries pass the  moult  period  healthily , they  will  copulate  and  reproduce  at  early  December . A  successful  breeder  can  produce a condition for his  canaries  in order to copulate within 1 or 2 days, then 97 per cent of his canaries can lay egg about 15 days .  Some female canaries have got disease in  their reproductive system , then they have got lapse in laying egg or laying egg will be done more than 15 days for them .Hatching takes place13 or 14days after laying egg . Parent canaries can be fed by little egg and mixed powder from hatching to3days after  it ; then  gradually  portion of  feed should be increased for chickens . Not only you should know that main feed of chickens are egg and mixed powder; but also chickens  should not be fed by it excessively . Two times  feeding  by egg and mixed powder is enough for chickens in a day . When chickens are 6 days old , they can be fed by little vegetable, and even sometimes you can give them seven seeds instead of vegetable . As a result the feed of chickens should be various in order to supply  their  necessary  vitamin . Feeding of parent canaries by both egg and main seed has got two benefits:1- Preventing from  intestinal disease. 2- preventing from being  quick  intemperance  and  puzzled .Also it should  be  mentioned  that  quick  intemperance for parent canaries causes that they ignor their chickens´ keeping.

When chickens  become 17 days old , their parents  search  to find a new nest for another laying egg ; in this  time it is necessary to  put a new nest about 10 cm away  from previous nest chickens leave their nest  and  prowl  in  cage  when they  are 17  to 22 days old ,  but  it depends on their breeds . chickens with father or male canary can be taken to another cage,when mother canary lays her last egg in second time .chickens should be fed by male canary by35 day after hatching , from this time they begin their independent  life .

Gradually , you should habituate  chickens to feed on main seed . In  any case, chickens which are 45 or 50 days old ,decrease the amount of their egg feed and increase the amount of main seeds by themse - lves . Also it  should be mentioned  that those  chickens  which feed   on egg  excessively , they will find intestinal disease that veterinarian should check and cure canary .

Chickens moult for the first time in  their lives  when they be  come  2 months old . In the first moult period,  young  canaries loose  their primitive  feathers  and  instead  of  them ,new  ones grow .In moult period , main feather never shed .

As an important point, it should be mentioned that the feed of cana - ries should be changed according to the need of their bodies .
