Canary feed
A. Main Seed
Canary seed , millet and turnip seeds are
main feed of canary . In canary feeding , something that is important
is ratio mixture of these seeds and this special ratio
is as follow : 6 part canary seed , 1 part millet seed and
1part turnip seed. Canaries are fed by this ratio mixture of these
seeds from puberty to the end of copulation period , also canaries are fed
by another ratio that is as follow : 10-1-1 at the early June to late
October .
B.
Sprouting Seed
Canaries should be
fed by sprouting seed from beginning of moult period about 6 weeks and
once in a week .
C.
Seven Seeds
Seeds of lettuce ,
cauliflower , turnip , purslane , flax, radish , and hemp should be
mixed with each other by proper ratio . Every canary can be fed by 3 grams
of it , once every ten days .
D.
Oatmeal
Canaries can be fed by
oatmeal in moult period
E.
Fruit and Vegetable
Canaries can
be fed by spinach , lettuce , cauliflower, celery , apple ,
citrus fruit and skin of water melon.These fruit and vegetable can be used
as feed of canary in moult period every day ; and at the end of moult
period to the beginning of reproduction period twice a week ; also
from reproduction period to the end of this period in less measure .
F.
Mixed Powder and Egg
Egg and mixed powder are supplements of each
other as a special feed for canaries . The recipe of mixed powder is as
follow : One kilogram fried flour , 100 grams bran wheat , 100 grams
powder of sprouting wheat and 150 grams milk powder should be mixed
with each other , then we make mixed powder .
G.
Egg
Boiled egg and carrot should
be grated with each other, then grated egg and carrot should be mixed with
3 grams purslane .It is egg feed .As a clincher, it should be
mentioned that each boiled egg is mixed with
5 grams mixed powder . this feed can supply enough
energy for our birds .

Notice
At least, your canary
should be antibiogram twice a year, first it should be done at early June
and the other should be done before reproduction time . |
